Dr. Arnas Majumder earned his Master’s degree in Energy Engineering from the University of Cagliari (Italy) and completed his PhD at the University of Salerno (Italy). His doctoral research focused on risk and sustainability in environmental engineering systems.

He is currently a researcher in the Department of Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering at the University of Cagliari and has authored nearly 25 peer-reviewed publications.

His research interests include energy-efficient and sustainable systems, solar PV cooling methods, green energy generation, energy-efficient buildings, composite materials, and integrated retrofitting.

Prof. Pabitra Kumar Biswas is a professor and Dean of Research & Consultancy in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Mizoram (NIT Mizoram). He earned his B.E./B.Tech. degree from West Bengal University of Technology (2005), followed by an M.E./M.Tech. (2007) and a Ph.D. (2013). Before joining NIT Mizoram, he served as an Assistant Professor at Asansol Engineering College (2007–2015). At NIT Mizoram, he has held positions as Assistant Professor (2015–2022) and Associate Professor (Oct 2022–Apr 2023), and he currently serves as Professor (Dean RC). Prof. Biswas’s research interests include electromagnetic levitation systems, active magnetic bearings, power electronic converters, vector control and sensorless control of induction motors, permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and BLDC motor drives, renewable energy systems, and electric vehicles. He supervises research in these areas and has published numerous papers on topics such as controller design for active magnetic bearings and energy management strategies for hybrid electric vehicles. With his combination of teaching experience, administrative leadership, and research contributions, Prof. Biswas plays a key role in advancing the electrical engineering programme and research activities at NIT Mizoram.
