Counselling & Mental Health Support Cell – RERFGI
The Counselling Cell provides emotional, psychological, academic, and personal support to students of RERF, RIST, and SVIMS.
Ms. Deblina Chatterjee serves as the Psychological Counsellor for the RERF Group of Institutions, supporting the emotional, psychological, and academic well-being of students across RERF, RIST, and SVIMS. With an M.Sc in Psychology (Clinical & Counselling Psychology), she uses a student-centric, evidence-based approach to help students navigate stress, anxiety, academic pressure, emotional overwhelm, interpersonal difficulties, and personal growth issues. She also leads institution-wide psychosocial initiatives, teacher sensitization programs, placement-readiness training, parental awareness sessions, and has developed the institution’s mental health portal, referral mechanisms, documentation systems, and AICTE-aligned compliance processes.
Her goal is to build a supportive, stigma-free campus culture where students feel safe, understood, and empowered to seek help.
