This initiative reflects the RERF’s Commitment to becoming a leader in digital education and innovation. By utilizing the SWAYAM/MOOCs platform, the College aims to expand access to quality education beyond geographical boundaries and provide flexible and inclusive learning opportunities to students across the country. The committee envisions transforming conventional teaching practices into dynamic, interactive, and technology-enabled learning experiences. Through this initiative, learners will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to succeed in an increasingly dynamic and evolving world. The committee looks forward to making a meaningful contribution to the future of education through the development and promotion of high-quality online courses and digital learning resources.

Mission

The Regent Education and Research Foundation established a Committee to Facilitate the Preparation of Online Content and Courses for SWAYAM/MOOCs as part of its commitment to strengthening digital education. The initiative aims to support the creation of high-quality, accessible, and comprehensive online learning resources for a wider community of learners. The primary objective of the committee is to guide and assist in the development of engaging, interactive, and pedagogically effective online content and courses aligned with the SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) platform. Through this initiative, the College seeks to effectively integrate technology into education, expand access to quality learning opportunities, and contribute to the national mission of promoting and disseminating digital education.

Goal

Short-Term Goals

1. Faculty Training and Workshops: Organize workshops in collaboration with different departments to train faculty members in the fundamentals of e-content creation and MOOC development.

2. Development of Resources and Guidelines: Prepare and distribute guidelines, instructional resources, and best practices for MOOC development in accordance with UGC and SWAYAM requirements.

3. Identification of Initial Courses: Identify suitable courses from various departments that can be developed and transformed into MOOCs.

Mid-Term Goals

1. E-Content Development: Facilitate the creation of high-quality e-content for selected courses and provide continuous guidance and technical support to faculty members throughout the development process.

2. Pilot Implementation: Launch pilot versions of the developed MOOCs to gather feedback from learners and stakeholders and make necessary improvements.

3. Quality Assurance: Establish and implement a quality assurance mechanism to ensure that the developed e-content meets the required academic, pedagogical, and technical standards for MOOCs.

Long-Term Goals

1. Development of SWAYAM MOOCs by University Faculty: Encourage and support faculty members in developing MOOCs and assist them with the preparation and submission of course proposals to the SWAYAM platform.

2. Large-Scale MOOC Implementation: Gradually expand the range of MOOCs across different disciplines and subject areas, thereby strengthening the college’s digital learning ecosystem.

3. Continuous Improvement: Establish a systematic feedback mechanism involving learners and other stakeholders to regularly update and improve course content, ensuring its continued relevance and effectiveness.
