Celebrating Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Fortnight

Regent Education and Research Foundation Group of Institutions (RERFGI), under the aegis of the Cultural Committee and NSS Cell, is observing Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Fortnight from 23rd June to 6th July 2026 through a series of academic and social outreach activities under the banner “প্রজ্ঞাপ্রদীপ”. The initiative is organized in response to the observance announced by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and aims to commemorate the life, vision, and invaluable contributions of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee—a distinguished educationist, nationalist leader, parliamentarian, and one of the key architects of modern India. Through this fortnight-long programme, RERFGI seeks to inspire students to imbibe the values of patriotism, leadership, social responsibility, and intellectual excellence. As part of প্রজ্ঞাপ্রদীপ, a variety of engaging and educational activities are being conducted across the campus, including: • Quiz Competition focusing on the life, achievements, and contributions of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee. • Reading Sessions featuring discussions on the works, speeches, and ideals of Dr. Mukherjee. • Special Talks and Lectures by eminent academicians and resource persons to enlighten students on his vision for education and nation-building. • Tree Plantation Drive promoting environmental awareness and sustainable development, reflecting the spirit of responsible citizenship. The fortnight serves as a platform for students, faculty members, and staff to come together in celebrating the legacy of a visionary leader while fostering a culture of learning, civic engagement, and community service. Through প্রজ্ঞাপ্রদীপ, RERFGI reaffirms its commitment to holistic education and the development of socially conscious individuals who contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
